Clean water is essential for life, but one in eight of the world's population does not have access to it. This, and lack of safe sanitation, result in over two million people dying from water-related diseases every year.
The Walk for Water begins at 11:00 am @ Huizenga Park in Zeeland on Saturday, March 21st 2009. The walking course: 1.2 miles east to gather 10 (adult) or 4 (child) liters of water and then carry that water back to the starting point.
