August 27 -- PIG OUT
Zeeland Fire-Rescue Annual Fundraising PIG OUT!
Thursday, August 27 @ Lawrence Street Park
Serving Time: 11am - 7pm
Menu: Roast Pork, hot dogs, mac & cheese, rolls, salads, coffee, soda & ice cream
Tickets: When purchased in advance:
Adults (13 & up) $8Kids (3-12) $4.50
tickets available at Don's Flowers, Zeeland Chamber of Commerce, Zeeland Police Department & City Hall.
Tickets: available at the park:

Fun & Games: Dunk Tank, Berry-go-Round, Bounce Zone, Fire Trucks, Rhythm Chimps Band 4-7pm, Balloon Artist

September 7 -- LABOR DAY TRUCK PARADE & BRIDGE WALK
WHERE--through Zeeland and Holland, trucks rumble down Main Ave in Zeeland @ 9:15am, then 8th Street in Holland @ 9:30am. Post parade festivities include a close-up look at the trucks, free ice cream, hot dogs and give-aways.
WHO--over 50 trucks from local businesses, sponsored by West Michigan Works
WHY--to honor the hard-working employees of local businesses on Labor Day.

Please join us for the second annual Paw Paw “Bridge Walk” this Labor Day (September 7, 2009). The walk will start around 10 AM (15 minutes after the Truck Parade is finished). A new added feature this year will be a water station at the bridge’s midpoint. At the end of the walk, there will be cookies and punch. Certificates will again be awarded to the first 29 participants (one certificate for each yard of the bridge). Pass the word around to family and friends who might be interested in joining us.

September 12--Zeeland's 1st Annual Global-Local Waterfest
WHEN: Saturday, September 12, 9am-3pm
WHERE: Heritage Square (corner of Main & Elm)
WHAT: A celebration of local businessess...and the global humanitarian efforts of groups that provide safe drinking water to villages around the world.
**Music, Food, Games (Water Games!), Awareness and Fun!!
**with musical guests: Paucity, Acoustic Waves, Big Dudee Roo and the Raptors, Left in Berlin, Thunder, Brandon Mass, Zachary Graft

September 12--MILES FOR MENTORING 5K Run/Walk
The Ottawa County Mentoring Collaborative Presents the 4th Annual Fun 5k Run 5k Walk.
Race time: 8:30am
Route begins and ends at City on a Hill Ministries in Zeeland.
